Rising actress who, for better or worse, is best known as comedian Ellen DeGeneres's former lover. Heche has had a number of eye-catching roles in a very short-time, including that of Johnny Depp's neglected wife in Donnie Brasco (1996), a staffer in the political comedy Wag the Dog (1997), a magazine editor trapped on a tropical island with Harrison Ford in Six Days Seven Nights (1998), and as Marion Crane in the ill-conceived remake of Psycho (1998). She also appeared in Wag the Dog (1998) and John Q (2002). She joined the cast of the WB drama Everwood for a story arc in 2004–2005. Heche is married to cameraman Coley Laffoon.
