Phil Hartman actor, comedian Born: 9/24/1948 Birthplace: Brantford, Ontario, Canada
Comedian and actor who excelled with an often deadpan delivery and convincing sendups of the famous and ridiculous. Hartman enjoyed his greatest success on television, as a long-time cast-member of Saturday Night Live (from 1986–94) and as the central character in the well regarded ensemble comedy, NewsRadio (1995–98). Hartman also did many of the voice characterizations for the animated television show, The Simpsons. Hartman was found dead in his home on May 28, 1998, apparently murdered by his wife, Brynn (Vicki) Omdahl Hartman, who committed suicide at the scene. Died: 5/28/1998
