Four precocious teens (Van Der Beek, Holmes, Jackson and Williams) lean on each other as they make the difficult transition from adolescence to adulthood in a swank Boston suburb. Dawson's Creek has risen above the prime-time soap formula with MTV-style pacing (and music) and writing that has these teenagers taking mature views on everything from sex to infidelity. Scream's Kevin Williamson created the show.
