Rock musician, often presented as the dark, wild side of Elvis Presley, known for his flamboyant, slamming piano playing and controversial personal life. His recordings include “Great Balls of Fire” (1957), “Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On” (1957), and “Breathless” (1958). The 1989 film Great Balls of Fire!, starring Dennis Quaid, chronicled Lewis's life.
