Sammy Davis, Jr. singer, actor Born: 12/8/1925 Birthplace: New York City
Popular singer and stage and film actor who started touring with his family's troupe, the Will Mastin Trio, at age three. He was a member of Frank Sinatra's “Rat Pack.” He nearly died in a 1954 car accident that resulted in the loss of his left eye. His films include Johnny Cool (1963) and Robin and the Seven Hoods (1964). His stage credits include Mr. Wonderful (1956). Died: 5/16/1990
