Wallasey

Wallasey wŏlˈəsē [key], city (1991 pop. 62,465), Wirral metropolitan district, W central England, on the tip of Wirral peninsula at the mouth of the Mersey River, in the Greater Manchester metropolitan area. Some industry exists, such as flour milling and ship repairing, but Wallasey is primarily residential. Nearby is New Brighton, a seaside resort.
