Tabard Inn

Tabard Inn (tăb'urd) [key], in Southwark borough, Greater London, England. The inn, demolished in the 19th cent., was mentioned by Geoffrey Chaucer in the Prologue of the Canterbury Tales as the starting point of Chaucer's pilgrims.
