EncyclopediaQutb MinarQutb Minar or Kutb Minar (both: kŭ'tub mē'när) [key], minaret near New Delhi, India. One of the earliest Muslim monuments in India, it was erected (c.1230) by Iltutmish of the Delhi Sultanate.
