Liuzhou

Liuzhou or Liuchow both: lēō-jō [key], city (1994 est. pop. 707,200), N central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, S China, on the Liu River. At the intersection of highways and three railroads, it is a manufacturing town with important paper and wood-product industries, a large integrated iron and steel complex, machine shops, motor-vehicle and chemical plants, textile mills, and food-processing establishments.
