Fort Saint John

Fort Saint John, town (1991 pop. 14,156), NE British Columbia, Canada, on the Peace River and the Alaska Highway. A North West Company post established in 1805 is still operated by the Hudson's Bay Company. The town is a supply point for nearby gas and oil fields.
