Egmont, Mount

Egmont, Mount (e'mont) [key], or Taranaki (târ"unä'kē) [key], dormant volcano, 8,260 ft (2,517 m) high, on North Island, New Zealand. Conical and snowcapped, it dominates the island's west side.
