Bandar-e Torkaman

Bandar-e Torkaman (bän'där-ā tôr"kämän') [key]town (1991 pop. 33,338), Mazandaran prov., N Iran, on the Caspian Sea. The town has fisheries and serves as the northern terminus of the Trans-Iranian Railway, which runs to the Persian Gulf. The town was formerly known as Bandar-e Shah.
