Anan, city, Japan

Anan änˈän [key], city, Tokushima prefecture, E Shikoku, Japan, on the Kii Channel. The city was created in 1958 by the merger of Tomioka and Tachibana. An agricultural center, it also produces lime, timber, and wooden goods.
