Al Aziziyah (äl äzēzē'yä) [key]or Azizia (ăzizē'ä) [key], town, NW Libya, near Tripoli. It is a major trade center of the Jifarah plain. The highest shade temperature on earth, 136°F (57.8°C), was recorded there.
