A port of entry with a good harbor, Port Angeles is a boating and fishing center, with ferry service to Victoria. There is logging and the manufacture of wood products and transportation equipment; many pulp and paper mills are in the area. The city is also a resort and the headquarters for Olympic National Park (see National Parks and Monuments, table).
