Circleville

Circleville, city (2020 pop. 14,182), seat of Pickaway co., S central Ohio, on the Scioto River; inc. 1853. Corn, hogs, and poultry are processed in the city. Circleville was laid out in 1810 within the remains of a circular fort allegedly erected by mound builders. Its growth was spurred by the building of the Ohio and Erie Canal.
