magnetohydrodynamics

magnetohydrodynamics (măgnē"tōhī"drōdīnăm'iks) [key], study of the motions of electrically conducting fluids and their interactions with magnetic fields. The principles of magnetohydrodynamics are of particular importance in plasma physics. See nuclear energy.
