Goya y Lucientes, Francisco José de (fränthēs'kō hōsā' &thstrok;ā gō'yä ē lOOthēān'tās) [key], 1746–1828, Spanish painter and graphic artist. Goya is generally conceded to be the greatest painter of his era.
