EncyclopediaDelvaux, LaurentDelvaux, Laurent (lōräN' delvō') [key], 1695–1778, Flemish sculptor. After studying in Rome, Delvaux developed a style that combined French neoclassic and Italian baroque elements. Ornate in the extreme, his works express a marked coldness.
