Coué, Émile

Coué, Émile (āmēl' kwā) [key], 18571926, French psychotherapist. He is remembered for his formula for curing by optimistic autosuggestion, “Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” His teaching achieved a vogue in England and the United States in the 1920s.
