Berossus

Berossus (buro'sus) [key], 3d cent. B.C., Babylonian priest-historian; contemporary of Manetho. His work, in Greek, preserved Mesopotamian myths regarding creation and history. It survives in fragments quoted by Josephus and Eusebius of Caesarea.
