Born: 14 November 1961 Birthplace: West Orange, New Jersey Best known as: Maya Gallo on TV's Just Shoot Me Laura San Giacomo was already a veteran actress when she got her first big break as the nasty sister-in-law in the 1989 film sex, lies, and videotape. The small-budget film was a hit with critics and is often credited with kicking off the independent film boom of the 1990s.
