In 1975 he was convicted of conspiracy, perjury, and obstruction of justice for his part in the Watergate break-in and cover-up. He served 18 months in federal prison before returning to private life as an author and consultant. Extra credit: Ehrlichman won the Distinguished Flying Cross in World War II.
