Ivanka Trump is the daughter of
Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana. A tall and elegant blonde, Ivanka began modeling as a teen, her career helped along by the Trump name and by her mother's own background as a model. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School with a bachelor's degree in economics in 2004; the next year she joined the Trump Organization and became a vice president of real estate development and acquisitions. Her 2006 appearances on her father's show
The Apprentice pushed her to a new prominence, and she launched her own line of jewelry, the Ivanka Trump Collection. She also inherited, as
The New York Times put it, "her father's prodigious flair for self-promotion," and in 2007
Harper's Bazaar magazine called her "The New Queen of Diamonds."
