Born: 9 July 1964 Birthplace: San Francisco, California Best known as: The widow of Kurt Cobain Name at birth: Courtney Michelle Harrison Courtney Love grew up in California, New Zealand and Oregon, ending up in the Pacific Northwest as a punk rocker. In 1989 she co-founded the rock band Hole. In 1992 she married Kurt Cobain of the band Nirvana. After Cobain's death, Hole's second album met with critical and popular success, making Courtney Love a rock star in her own right.
