ZENOR, William Taylor, a
Representative from Indiana; born near Corydon, Harrison County,
Ind., April 30, 1846; attended the common schools and the seminary
of James G. May; studied law in New Albany, Ind.; was admitted to
the bar in 1870 and commenced practice in Corydon; moved to
Leavenworth, Crawford County, Ind., in 1871 and continued the
practice of law; prosecuting attorney of Crawford and Harrison
Counties 1879-1885; judge of the third judicial circuit 1885-1897;
elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-fifth and to the four succeeding
Congresses (March 4, 1897-March 3, 1907); resumed the practice of
law in Corydon, Ind.; moved to New Albany, Ind., in 1910 and
continued the practice of law until his death there June 2, 1916;
interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon, Ind.
