Henry Arnold WAXMAN

WAXMAN, Henry Arnold, a Representative from California; born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Calif., September 12, 1939; attended Los Angeles public schools; B.A., University of California, Los Angeles, Calif., 1961; J.D., University of California, Los Angeles, Calif., 1964; lawyer, private practice; member of the California state assembly, 1969-1974; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the eighteen succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-present); chair, Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (One Hundred Tenth Congress); chair, Committee on Energy and Commerce (One Hundred Eleventh Congress).
