WAMP, Zachary Paul, a
Representative from Tennessee; born in Fort Benning, Chattahoochee
County, Ga., October 28, 1957; graduated from the McCallie School,
Chattanooga, Tenn., 1976; attended University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill, N.C. and University of Tennessee; real estate broker;
unsuccessful candidate for election to the One Hundred Third
Congress in 1992; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Fourth
and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1995-January 3,
2011); not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Twelfth
Congress in 2010, but was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of
Tennessee.
