coordinator, Morris K. Udall for President, 1974; executive
director, Colorado Outward Bound School, 1985-1995; member of the
Colorado state house of representatives, 1996-1998; elected as a
Democrat to the One Hundred Sixth and to the four succeeding
Congresses (January 3, 1999-January 3, 2009); not a candidate for
reelection to the House of Representatives but was elected as a
Democrat to the United States Senate in 2008 for the term ending
January 3, 2015.
