TAYLOR, William Penn, a Representative from Virginia; born in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Va., birth date unknown; received a limited schooling; held several local offices; elected as an Anti-Jacksonian to the Twenty-third Congress (March 4, 1833-March 3, 1835); was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Twenty-fourth Congress in 1834; died at “Hayfield,” Caroline County, Va., near Fredericksburg, Va.; death date unknown; interment in the family graveyard at “Hayfield.”
