TAUSCHER, Ellen O’Kane, a Representative from California; born in Newark, Essex County, N.J., November 15, 1951; B.S., Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., 1974; investment banker, New York Stock Exchange, 1977-1979; founder, Child Care Registry, Inc., 1992; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifth and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1997-present).
