STORER Bellamy , a Representative from Ohio; born in Cincinnati, Ohio, August 28, 1847; attended the common schools of that city and Dixwell's private Latin school, Boston, Mass.; was graduated from Harvard University in 1867 and from the law school of Cincinnati College in 1869; was admitted to the bar in 1869 and commenced practice in Cincinnati; assistant United States attorney for the southern district of Ohio in 1869 and 1870; elected as a Republican to the Fifty-second and Fifty-third Congresses (March 4, 1891-March 3, 1895); was not a candidate for renomination in 1894; resumed the practice of law; Assistant Secretary of State in 1897; Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Belgium from May 4, 1897, to April 11, 1899, to Spain from April 12, 1899, to September 26, 1902, and to Austria-Hungary from September 26, 1902, to March 1906; resumed the practice of law; died in Paris, France, November 12, 1922; interment in Le Cimetière Neuf, Marvejols, France.
