Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, 1978; dentist; member of the Idaho
state legislature, 1984-1998; Speaker of the House, Idaho state
legislature, 1993-1998; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred
Sixth Congress and to the six succeeding Congresses (January 3,
1999-present).
