Hundred Fourth Congress); not a candidate for reelection to the
House of Representatives in 1996, but was elected as a Republican
to the United States Senate in 1996; reelected in 2002, and again
in 2008 for the term ending January 3, 2015; chair, Select
Committee on Ethics (One Hundred Sixth and One Hundred Seventh
Congresses [November 9, 1999-January 3, 2001; January 20, 2001-June
6, 2001]), Select Committee on Intelligence (One Hundred Eighth and
One Hundred Ninth Congresses).
