County, Ohio, Municipal Court, 1986-1992; elected as a Republican
to the One Hundred Third and to the seven succeeding Congresses
(January 3, 1993-January 3, 2009); was not a candidate for
reelection to the One Hundred Eleventh Congress in 2008; House
Republican Conference Chair (One Hundred Eighth Congress through
One Hundred Ninth Congress).
