MORRISON, Sidney Wallace,
Representative from Washington; born in Yakima, Yakima County,
Wash., May 13, 1933; attended Toppenish public schools, Toppenish,
Wash.; attended Yakima Valley College, 1951; B.S., Washington State
University, Pullman, 1954; served in the United States Army,
enlisted, 1954-1956; partner, Morrison Fruit Co., Inc.; served in
the Washington State house of representatives, 1966-1974; senate,
1974-1980; elected as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh and to the
five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1993); was
not a candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third
Congress, but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination for
governor of Washington; is a resident of Zillah, Wash.
