LOUDENSLAGER, Henry Clay,
a Representative from New Jersey; born in Mauricetown, Cumberland
County, N.J., May 22, 1852; moved with his parents to Paulsboro,
N.J., in 1856; attended the common schools; engaged in the produce
commission business in Philadelphia, Pa., 1872-1882; county clerk
of Gloucester County, N.J., 1882-1892; elected as a Republican to
the Fifty-third and to the nine succeeding Congresses and served
from March 4, 1893, until his death in Paulsboro, Gloucester
County, N.J., August 12, 1911; chairman, Committee on Pensions
(Fifty-fourth through Sixty-first Congresses); interment in
Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, N.J.
