KERNS, Brian D., (son-in-law of John Thomas Myers), a Representative from Indiana; born in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Ind., May 22, 1957; B.S., Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Ind., 1991; M.P.A., Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Ind., 1992; aide to United States Representative Ed Pease of Indiana; television journalist; administrator, St. Joseph’s College, Terre Haute, Ind.; staff, Indiana state department of natural resources; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh Congress (January 3, 2001-January 3, 2003); unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Eighth Congress in 2002.
