JARRETT, William Paul, a
Delegate from the Territory of Hawaii; born in Honolulu, Hawaii,
August 22, 1877; attended St. Louis College, Honolulu; deputy
sheriff and sheriff of the city and county of Honolulu 1906-1914;
high sheriff of the Territory of Hawaii and warden of Oahu Prison
1914-1922; member of the Board of Industrial Schools from May 1919
to January 1922; elected as a Democrat a Delegate to the
Sixty-eighth and Sixty-ninth Congresses (March 4, 1923-March 3,
1927); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1926 to the
Seventieth Congress; died at Honolulu, T.H., November 10, 1929;
interment in Diamond Head Memorial Park.
