HOLLENBECK, Harold
Capistran, a Representative from New Jersey; born in
Passaic, Passaic County, N.J., December 29, 1938; attended the
public schools of East Rutherford, New Jersey; B.A., Fairleigh
Dickinson University, Rutherford, 1961; LL.B., University of
Virginia, 1964; admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1965 and
commenced practice in Ridgewood; member, East Rutherford Borough
Council, 1967-1969, New Jersey assembly, 1968-1971; New Jersey
senate, 1972-1973; delegate, Republican National Convention, 1968;
elected as a Republican to the Ninety-fifth and to the two
succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1977-January 3, 1983);
unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1982 to the Ninety-eighth
Congress; appointed by Governor Thomas Kean judge, superior court
of New Jersey and sworn in July 1, 1987; is a resident of
Ridgewood, N.J.
