director; delegate, White House Conference of Small Business, 1980;
delegate, Indiana State Republican conventions, 1978-1980; elected
as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh and to the four succeeding
Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1991); unsuccessful
candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Second Congress in
1990; deputy administrator, General Services Administration,
1991-1993; business executive; is a resident of La Porte, Ind.
