HALLOCK, John, Jr., a Representative from New York; born in Oxford, Orange County, N.Y., in July 1783; member of the State assembly 1816-1821; member of the State constitutional convention in 1821; elected as a Jacksonian to the Nineteenth and Twentieth Congresses (March 4, 1825-March 3, 1829); died in Ridgebury, N.Y., December 6, 1840; interment in the Hallock family cemetery near Ridgebury, N.Y.
