Wayne Thomas GILCHREST

GILCHREST, Wayne Thomas, a Representative from Maryland; born in Rahway, Union County, N.J., April 15, 1946; graduated from Rahway High School, Rahway, N.J., 1964; A.A., Wesley College, Dover, Del., 1971; B.A., Delaware State College, Dover, Del., 1973; United States Marine Corps, 1964-1968; teacher; unsuccessful candidate for election to the One Hundred First Congress in 1988; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Second and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1991-January 3, 2009); unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Eleventh Congress in 2008.
