FORTUÑO, Luis G., a Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico; born in San Juan, P.R., October 31, 1960; B.S.F.S., Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., 1982; J.D., University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va., 1985; lawyer, private practice; executive director, Puerto Rico Tourism Company, 1993-1996; secretary, Puerto Rico Economic Development and Commerce, 1994-1996; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Ninth Congress and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2005-present).
