ESHLEMAN, Edwin Duing, a
Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Quarryville, Lancaster
County, Pa., December 4, 1920; Franklin and Marshall College, B.S.,
1942; graduate work in political science at Temple University;
lieutenant, United States Coast Guard in the Second World War;
public school teacher; member, Pennsylvania State house of
representatives, 1954-1966; elected as a Republican to the
Ninetieth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3,
1967-January 3, 1977); was not a candidate for reelection in 1976
to the Ninety-fifth Congress; was a resident of Lancaster, Pa.,
until his death there January 10, 1985; interment in Millersville
Mennonite Cemetery, Manor Township, Millersville, Pa.
