Mich., 1990; lawyer, private practice; member, Florida state
senate, 2007-2010; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred
Eleventh Congress, by special election to fill the vacancy caused
by the resignation of United States Representative Robert Wexler
and to the succeeding Congress (April 13, 2010-present).
