BUECHNER, John William
(Jack), a Representative from Missouri; born in Kirkwood,
Mo., June 4, 1940; attended parochial schools; A.B., Benedictine
College, Atchison, Kans., 1962; J.D., St. Louis University Law
School, St. Louis, Mo.,1965; admitted to the Missouri State bar in
1965 and commenced practice in St. Louis County; real estate
developer; member, Missouri house of representatives, 1972-1982;
delegate to the Republican National Conventions, 1964, 1980, 1988;
elected as a Republican to the One Hundredth and One Hundred First
Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 1991); unsuccessful
candidate for reelection in 1990 to the One Hundred Second
Congress; president, National Republican Institute for
International Affairs; is a resident of St. Louis, Mo.
