BREMNER, Robert Gunn, a
Representative from New Jersey; born in Keiss, Caithness, Scotland,
December 17, 1874; immigrated with his parents to Canada; attended
public schools; moved to the United States; carpenter; electrician;
newspaper reporter; Second Regiment, New Jersey Volunteer Infantry,
during the Spanish-American War; newspaper publisher; elected as a
Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-February 5,
1914); died on February 5, 1914, in Baltimore, Md.; interment in
Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa Borough, N.J.
