Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Okla., 1986; L.L.M., College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., 1988; lawyer, private practice; attorney, United States Treasury Department; member of the Iowa state senate, elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Tenth Congress (January 3, 2007-present).
