ANDREWS, Thomas Hiram, a
Representative from Maine; born in Brockton, Plymouth County,
Mass., March 22, 1953; graduated from Oliver Ames High School,
North Easton, Mass., 1971; B.A., Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine,
1976; executive director, Maine Association of Handicapped Persons;
member, Maine state house of representatives, 1983-1985; member,
Maine state senate, 1985-1990; elected as a Democrat to the One
Hundred Second and One Hundred Third Congresses (January 3,
1991-January 3, 1995); was not a candidate for reelection to the
One Hundredth Fourth Congress in 1994, but was an unsuccessful
candidate for election to the United States Senate; is a resident
of South Portland, Maine.
